unnamedMarzia Cipollone is part of the Mdina Biennale Communications Office, coordinating communications with artists and how they wish to express their thoughts during the Biennale and in the media. A graduate in Philosophy from the University of Macerata (Italy), she worked in Rome for 20 years collaborating with news agencies, film directors, and publishing houses. She assised and curated several exhibitions in Rome and Paris and then contributed to the editing and revision works of the History of Art documentaries produced by the Italian filmmaker Luciano Emmer.

Jessica MuscatJessica Muscat is a graphic designer who has been working in the printing industry for the past 8 years, while also working on various independent projects. She attended the Malta School of Arts in Valletta between 2008 and 2013 where a passion for art history was cultivated. Jessica is now reading for a B.A. (Hons) degree in History of Art at the University of Malta, while also holding the position of Vice-President of the History of Art Student Association (HoASA). She has been a member of the Mdina Biennale team since May 2015.

image1Alessia Saffioti is part of the Mdina Biennale Communications Team coordinating logistics, events and promoting the sales of artists' works of art. A graduate in languages and literature from the University of Messina in Italy, Alessia has vast experience in administration and logistics of big projects in various industries, from shipping to organizational management and hospitality in Italy, Germany and Malta. For the Mdina Biennale, she is the bridge between the artists and the public through various platforms and media.

ACAlexandra Camilleri is currently reading for a B.A. (Hons) degree in History of Art at the University of Malta, focusing on early 20th century architecture. She joined the Mdina Biennale Action Group in January 2015. Alexandra is the Secretary of the History of Art Student Association (HoASA), and forms part of the Youth Committee of Din L-Art Helwa.

1476568 10201864649289377 911381128 nMarie Noelle Lanzon is currently reading for a BA degree in History of Art and Psychology at the University of Malta, with a special interest in modern and contemporary art as well as art therapy. Having also an interest in curating and museum management, she attended the 2014 edition of the VIVA curatorial school. She joined the Mdina Biennale team in May 2015.

Mario 1Mario Gauci studied at the University of Malta achieving a Bachelor's Degree in Lib. Info. & Arch. Studies and an MA in Baroque Studies. He has been serving as Assistant Archivist for the Metropolitan Cathedral Archives in Mdina since March 2005. Prior to his current position, he worked for the Government Libraries Department, at the Biblioteca Nazionale in Valletta (2003) and Birkirkara library (2004). His research is focused on ecclesiastical archives. He took keen interest in the re-structural programme of the Cathedral Archives and has been recently appointed ex-ufficio member and secretary of the new board. In 2013 he was appointed secretary of the Mdina Biennale 2015.

1551755 10152154414692698 1628997156 nYasmeen Abou El Seoud is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at Flagler College in Florida, USA. She is majoring in Political Science and minoring in International Relations, whilst previously having studied Psychology at The American University in Cairo. In 2011 Yasmeen worked for the CARAVAN organization on their Egyptian charity donation program, in which she visited and gathered information on the featured charities for the catalogue.

Melanie 1Melanie Farrugia graduated with a BA in History of Art focusing on 18th century paintings.
She holds a Master's degree in Museum & Heritage Management, and researched marketing ideas for museums. In 2012, she attended a hands-on course in mosaic practice in Ravenna, Italy. She works in the iGaming industry as manager of NOC and as sportsbook administrator. Melanie is a volunteer museum host and also a consultant for heritage and cultural sites for www.maltain360.com. In 2014 she joined the Mdina Biennale 2015 as events organiser and coordinator for the Mdina Biennale's radio programme 'Culture Vulture: Art is Served'.

Simon 1Simon Sultana Harkins graduated from the Institute of Tourism Studies at the University of Malta, specializing in Tour Guiding and has worked in various museums, giving guided tours and nature walks around the Maltese islands. In 2013 he graduated from the University of Malta with a Bachelor degree in History of Art and Philosophy. Since an early age, he has taken a keen interest in nature and has been a member of BirdLife Malta and Nature Trust. His passion for the arts extends into literature, music, and the visual arts. He has collaborated with various local and foreign artists such as Rubberbodies Collective and Nisġa Project.
