Anthony Spagnol, (b. 1960) studied at the Malta School of Art between 1974 and 1980. He later completed a Diploma Course in painting between 1989 and 1991.

Spagnol held four personal exhibitions at the National Museum of Fine Arts in 1993, 1995, 1997 and 2009. He also participated in numerous collective exhibitions. His latest solo exhibition entitled 'The Way' was held in 2014 at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Valletta.

He started his career as a figurative artist but then shifted towards abstraction. He considers the latter as a highly spiritual language with which he is able to narrate stories.
