IMGP0949 pageGiovanni Ruggiero was born in Fontanarosa, Italy in 1973. He lives in Faenza and works in sculpture, drawings, ceramics and installation. His work is characterized by constant research on the spiritual and the soul and their representation as visual elements. Ruggiero took part in several solo and collective exhibitions: Libera lama del Pensiero, held at the Università degli Studi di Siena, Palazzo di San Galgano in 2009 (curated by M. Bignardi); Artemodernacontemporanearoma, Galleria overfoto, Rome in 2008. He also took part in several Prizes and Workshops, such as: the second edition of the Premio Fabbri, in 2007 and the 49° Premio Campigna, artist residence, curated by C. Casali, Santa Sofia (FC). In 2011 he won the prestigious prize Premio Faenza organized by the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.
